Privacy policy
Last updated 10 October 2026. This policy covers editor at editor.is-live.dev.
Your files
Most work happens in your browser. Opening a PDF, adding text, images, signatures, drawings and shapes, merging PDFs and downloading do not send your file to us.
Your file is sent to our server only in these cases:
- When you change text that was already in the PDF, or add text in a script such as Malayalam, Hindi or Arabic, the PDF is sent when you download so the text can be replaced or joined correctly.
- When you use Compress PDF.
In both cases the file is processed in memory, returned to you, and discarded. We do not save it to disk, keep a copy, or look at its contents, and it is not written to our logs.
What stays in your browser
- Your work in progress, so you can continue after closing the tab. It is stored in your browser (IndexedDB) and removed when you close the document.
- Signatures you choose to save, and your theme preference (local storage).
This data stays on your device. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it.
What our servers log
Like most websites, our web server records requests: IP address, time, page or API address, response size and browser type. We use these logs to keep the service secure and to limit abuse, and they are deleted after 14 days. Traffic passes through Cloudflare, which protects and speeds up the site.
Fonts
When you use Google Fonts in the editor, your browser loads them from Google’s font servers, and our server downloads font files from Google. Google receives your IP address when your browser loads a font. See Google’s privacy policy.
Advertising and cookies
We show ads from Google AdSense on some pages, for example when your PDF is ready to download. Ads are never shown inside the editor while you work.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ cookies at aboutads.info.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google’s consent message before personalised ads are shown.
